Celebrating EX Brilliance

Returning to a live event for the first time since 2019, the UK Employee Experience Awards™ promote Britain’s very best EX practices, and we welcome entries from any organisation working hard to put their people first.

Why? Because business needs a skilled and motivated workforce to solve the issues of the coming decade. Whether it’s the pandemic changing the world of work, digitisation of business processes, changes in international trade or long-term demographic shifts, the next ten years are sure to be challenging.

The organisations that will thrive in the 2020s will be ones offering a world-class employee experience, who can attract and retain the very best talent, and harness their brilliance and creativity to deliver outstanding results.

We define the employee experience as "the sum of all interactions an employee has with their work environment and culture, and the full package of efforts an organisation makes for those interactions to be as fulfilling as possible" - and now more than ever, achievements in this field deserve recognition!

These Awards honour those innovators, leaders, professionals, and teams who are facing the challenges of change, showcasing a range of initiatives and solutions that everyone can learn from.

Fairest Awards

This event has integrity and fairness at its heart. We take several steps to ensure it’s a meaningful competition:

  • Every category has at least 5 judges
  • Every entry is scored at least 10 times (first for the written submission and then for your live presentation)
  • Entries are scrutinised for 7.5 hours on average
  • Every finalist receives a detailed feedback report after the event<

In recognition of these efforts, EXA has received the Outstanding Trust Mark from the Independent Awards Standards Council. And with the help of the wonderful Judge Club, we continue to improve the quality and fairness of our events.

How to Enter

Entering is incredibly easy: in just two steps, your awards journey can begin!

Choose the right category(ies): there’s no limit to the number you can enter, and you can also enter the same initiative into multiple categories if appropriate. Book a call with your Awards Consultant to explore your options further.

Submit your entry form: this is your chance to share your organisation’s EX story and get shortlisted as a finalist, so make sure you address all the scoring criteria and wow the judges with your initiative!


What happens next?

Once you’ve submitted your entry, sit back and relax! We’ll be announcing the full list of finalists on March 11, 2022.

Those who’ve been shortlisted will compete in the Awards Finals, where they deliver a 30-minute presentation to the judging panel. Later that same day, we’ll find out the winners in a glamorous Awards Ceremony!

Awards Experience

We’re incredibly excited to be hosting a live event again! On May 19, we’ll be welcoming guests to Park Plaza Riverbank in London, a stylish venue with spectacular views across the Thames.

Here’s what you can expect:


  • A full-day experience: presentations run throughout the morning, with the Awards Ceremony taking place in the afternoon. Expect entertainment, an inspiring keynote speech and a charity raffle with some amazing prizes – plus a delicious three-course lunch!
  • Open presentations: many finalists allow spectators to view their presentation, giving you a unique opportunity to see how other companies are achieving phenomenal EX results.
  • Networking throughout the day with the UK’s top professionals
  • The Future of Employment mini-conference: held two months after the Awards, a range of EX influencers will discuss the latest insights and trends in the world of work, and we'll also hear an exclusive interview with the EXA™ Overall Winner!
